‘See ya later, Alligator:’ Florida deputies corral 600‑pound reptile in middle of road

Deputies in Sarasota County wrangled a 14-foot alligator that was later trapped in the middle of a road in the Lakewood Ranch area, according to the sheriff’s office. In a video posted on social media Wednesday, officials said it took seven “brave deputies” and one “skilled trapper” to capture the 600-pound reptile.
