Melbourne mayor proposes renaming roadway to Charlie Kirk Lane

Mayor Paul Alfrey said he will seek to rename a roadway to honor Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist who was assassinated last week in Utah. In a Facebook post, Alfrey said he will bring an agenda item at the next city council meeting to rename the stretch of Cypress Avenue, from Eau Gallie Boulevard to Orange Street, to Charlie Kirk Lane.
