1 driver killed in fiery head-on crash on SR-434 near Hammock Lane in Oviedo

A woman was killed when two vehicles collided in a head-on crash on State Road 434 in Oviedo Tuesday morning. According to the FHP, a 2022 Nissan Altima was traveling east on S.R. 434 approaching Hammock Lane when the driver failed to negotiate a right-hand curve, causing the car to travel into the westbound lane and in the direct path of a 2018 Jeep Compass. The front of the Nissan struck the front of the Jeep, causing the Jeep to become fully engulfed in flames, the FHP said.
