The ECHL has announced the team’s game against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits scheduled for 7 p.m. has been postponed, per the league’s health and safety protocols, according to a news release. Tickets purchased for the game will be honored when the game is rescheduled, league officials said. For ticket information please contact ticketmaster.com or call the Solar Bears at 407-951-8200. The Solar Bears are scheduled to return to the rink when they host the Greenville Swamp Rabbits Jan. 22 at 7 p.m.

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears (21-19-5-1) peppered South Carolina Stingrays (33-9-3-1) goaltender Logan Thompson with 34 shots on goal, but the rookie netminder turned aside all attempts to earn his third shutout of the season and deal Orlando a 4-0 loss on Thursday night the Jewett Orthopaedic Rink at Amway Center. The game remained tied at 0-0 through two periods of play, but South Carolina capitalized on a second-period power play that carried over into the third, as Branden Troock one-timed a shot past Clint Windsor 27 seconds into the third frame. Orlando’s best chance in the game came during a 5-on-3 man-advantage several minutes later, but the Stingrays were able to kill off both penalties. Clint Windsor took the loss for Orlando with 24 saves on 27 shots against; Thompson picked up the win for South Carolina going 34-for-34. Condon, 29, joins Orlando after posting a 3-2-1 record in six appearances with Syracuse this season, sporting a 4.10 goals-against average and a save percentage of .877. Condon has appeared in 43 career ECHL matches with the Wheeling Nailers and Ontario Reign, going 26-13-4 with seven shutouts, a 2.11 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage. The field trip to the Amway Center combines hands-on STEM activities with the fast-paced action of a live hockey game. Businesses including Mad Science set up interactive booths and displays around the Amway Center. The Orlando Solar Bears announced that goaltender Clint Windsor has been named the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 4-10 by the ECHL. Windsor went 1-1-1 with a 1.95 goals-against average and a save percentage of .946 in three appearances last week. Last season, he went 4-2-1 in eight appearances for the Solar Bears with a 2.48 goals-against average and a save percentage of .926. During his senior season, Windsor was named the Goaltender of the Year for Ontario University Athletics after leading all USports goaltenders with a save percentage of .930. Windsor went 26-49-10 with one shutout, a 4.24 goals-against average and a save percentage of .913 in 100 total OHL contests.

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears are hosting an open call Monday to find fans and models to feature in the team's new advertising campaign, "I AM A SOLAR BEAR." The casting call is being held at the RDV Sportsplex Ice Den, located 8701 Maitland Summit Blvd. in Orlando from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.12 winners will be selected for the hockey team's ad campaign and will be featured in web, billboard, and Amway Center in-arena advertising. One grand prize winner will also appear in The Orlando Sentinel and Orlando Magazine, as well as on billboards and venue advertising including the Amway Center JumboTron and Solar Bears collateral materials. The Orlando Solar Bears will begin playing in the ECHL at the Amway Center in October 2012.
